The Milbank area retired teachers meet every 3rd Thursday except July & December. ALL area teachers are invited to attend.
The Watertown area career learning center offers classes on basic computer tools and usage several times a month, as well as adult education classes such as GED preparation, English as a second language, and a job hunting tips workshop. Call Nancy at 882-5080 for further information and class schedules.
The Watertown Regional Landfill accepts residential electronic waste, including computers, monitors, laptops, keyboards, printers, faxes, scanners, phones and more. They sell recycling containers at cost for plastic, metal corrugated cardboard and paper. The landfill is open Monday through Saturday 8:30 am to 5 pm. The Codington Unit of the American Cancer Society encourages you to make a memorial gift in memory of a loved one touched by cancer. You can send a gift to the Memorial Program, the American Cancer Society office, 525 5th ST SE in Watertown or call 800 - ACS2345.
The Prairie Lakes Caring Clubhouse is open to patients and family members of patients receiving care at Prairie Lakes Health Care System. The Caring Clubhouse is located within walking distance of the hospital and cancer center. They offer private guest bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, private telephones and more. The Enemy Swim Day School Adult Learning Center offers assistance in GED completion, job readiness training, basic computer training, and High School/College tutoring. The Center is located at the Enemy Swim Day School and can be reached at (605) 947-4605 or (888) 825-7738.
