On Thursday, March 1, 2012, beginning at 3:00 A.M., the Watertown Street Department will be plowing the uptown business district. Upon completion, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing Avenues. Parking on avenues or snow routes when they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days). Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the avenue longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.
